Hands-on K-12 homeschool curriculum

Rooted in curiosity. Reaching for the sky.

From Earth to Sky gives families the courses, the confidence, and the community to teach their own children well. We put curiosity before compliance, real projects before busywork, and you, the parent, right beside your child as their guide.

Our story

It started with my daughter.

When my daughter began homeschooling in second grade, I learned firsthand what my years in the classroom had been whispering all along: no two children learn the same way. Some need to build it, some need to debate it, and some need to walk outside and find it for themselves.

From Earth to Sky grew out of that truth. Every course is interdisciplinary, hands-on, and built so that a parent can lead it with confidence, whether you have taught for decades or are opening your very first lesson plan this week.

Our hope is simple. We want children who dream bigger, think more creatively, and grow more curious every year, and families who believe, deep down, that they can do this.

How we teach

Six ideas behind every lesson we write

Our framework is grounded in educational research and decades of real teaching, and it stays the same from our youngest learners to our high schoolers.

Wonder comes first

Inquiry before instruction. Children ask questions and explore before we ever hand them an answer, so the learning truly belongs to them.

Mastery, not the clock

Students move forward when they genuinely understand, not when the calendar says it is time. Nobody gets rushed, and nobody gets left waiting.

Portfolios over grades

Projects, journals, and presentations tell the story of a child's growth far better than a single letter grade ever could.

You are the guide

No teaching degree required. Every lesson shows you how to coach, question, and encourage, so you can facilitate instead of lecture.

Just the right stretch

Activities come in tiers so each child works in the sweet spot between too easy and too hard, what educators call the zone of proximal development.

Rooted in Hawaiʻi

Hawaiian language, culture, and the places of Maui weave through our lessons, so learning feels connected to home and to the people around us.
